Aging-in-place Oratories to the elderly faithful who desire to live in a small communal atmosphere that fosters prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, the Church, the Pope, Bishops, Priests and Deacons. We encourage the families of our residents to actively participate in the lives of their loved ones, and we provide private on-site accommodations for those who wish to visit.
“They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God. They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated, That they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.” —Psalm 92:14-16

“...you are not and must not consider yourselves to be on the margins of the life of the Church, (like) passive elements in a world in excessive motion; but you are active subjects in a period of human existence which is rich in spirituality and humanity. You still have a mission to fulfill and a contribution to make”
Blessed John Paul II

The Elderly and Infirm Oratory Residents are lay Catholic faithful who will receive 24/7 licensed assisted living and nursing care in an open and caring environment. The St Joseph Oratory offers an innovative and prayerful approach to aging, illness and death by providing for its resident members a small, personal community in which to live.
The Non-residents who will make spiritual promises to help the Oratory Residents by providing an environment which fosters both physical and spiritual care. We, too, will offer to Christ our personal difficulties and suffering for the benefit of our elderly brethren and for the Church – especially for our Pope, bishops and priests.
Each community consists of 10–12 room cottages where resident members receive daily palliative care from the 24–hour on–site licensed nursing staff. Cottages resemble a normal home–like environment, fully equipped for medical care and treatment and 100% wheelchair accessible.
The Residents will make promises to mutually support each other while offering up their suffering for the salvation of souls: for their own family members and for the Church – especially for the priests and bishops of the local diocese.
The St Joseph Oratory is a place where its members are encouraged to live their Catholic faith in dignity and freedom, and where they live a communal life of charity.
Based on the Church’s teaching that the faithful must promote the dignity of life from conception to natural death, The St Nicholas Project – in conjunction with the St Joseph’s Oratory – promotes a culture of life by recognizing that our elderly brothers and sisters play a fundamental role in our lives and still have so much to give back to their families and our Dioceses.
“Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all. Extinguish not the spirit. Despise not prophecies. But prove all things; hold fast that which is good. From all appearance of evil refrain yourselves. And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things; that your whole spirit, and soul, and body, may be preserved blameless in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
